For my stop motion animation idea, I will be using an iPod and show my hand unlocking it, opening the music application and then finding a song and playing it. Whilst the song is playing, I will make a figure of a person made out of play dough and use a toy skate board called a "tech deck". I will use a white background and draw a road. The person will be riding the skate board down the street, dodging in and out of the cars. Whilst he is showing off he will hit a car, a fly over the roof and splat onto the ground, because he is made of play dough he won't stay in one piece instead flat out like a pancake. I got my idea from YouTube, I searched "Stop motion animation" and there was lots of videos, I found one of a bike rider. He used a white background and drew his bike and the person on it. I really liked this idea but unfortunately it wasn't 3D. So then I thought about it and came up with the skate boarder idea. It needed to be 3D so I thought about using a "tech deck" and making a figure out of play dough, this will then make it look 3D. The reason why I am using play dough is because it will be easier to move and make it into a figure, rather than other materials. For my animation I will be using 12 frames per second, I think this is suitable as if I use any less 8 frames per second for example the whole animation won't be long enough and there won't be enough shots in one second of the animation. The more pictures per second, the better the animation will look and it will flow better. If I use anymore that 12 I might not be able to fit all the shots in that second. It will also be very timing consuming.
Whilst producing my stop motion animation I could come across some some problems. Because I am making my person out of play dough the person could fall apart. To prevent this I will use a wire and then use play dough outside of the wire. By using a wire inside the play dough it will give the figure some support. If I don't use the wire the figure may fall apart and then when I re build it, it may not look the same. Another problem I could come across is, whilst he is flying through the air, I will be using string to hold him up. You may be able to see the string. So to prevent this I will be using a white background with a fine white cotton string so they can't see it. I could also come across the camera failing and then losing my pictures, to prevent this I will fully charge the camera's battery so it should have enough power. Also after every frame I will save the pictures onto my computer. I will use my time wisely so start filming as soon as possible so I have more than enough time.
